I'm a Computer Science graduate, having completed my BSc (Hons) at the Informatics Institute of Technology (IIT), Colombo, with First Class Honours, and a year of hands-on software engineering experience gained through a paid internship at WSO2 — a global enterprise software company. My work spans backend systems, applied machine learning, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), with a research interest in efficient language models for domain-specific summarization.

Outside of core engineering, I've built accessibility tooling, contributed to team-based full-stack projects, and completed a final-year research project as part of my degree, applying weighted-attention techniques to causal small language models for medical text summarization.

  • Re-architected the API Manager (APIM) monetization module, decoupling billing-engine and analytics logic via polymorphism — cutting integration effort for adding new billing and analytics providers.
  • Designed and shipped a RAG-powered AI chatbot for the APIM documentation site, adapting the pattern used by Choreo's docs assistant to serve accurate, context-grounded answers to developers.
  • Built the retrieval pipeline end-to-end — ingestion, vector store, query — and integrated it directly into the production docs_apim site.

A four-year full-time honours degree awarded by the University of Westminster, UK, recognised by Sri Lanka's University Grants Commission and accredited by BCS, the Chartered Institute for IT.
